A successful field deployment was carried out at TU Delft's Architectural Engineering & Technology (AE&T) department as part of the Noise-Reducing Digital Twin activities.
As part of Project 9: Spatial Data Analytics and IoT Process Integration for Circular Economy, conducted under the TÜBİTAK 1004 SUIT – Sustainable Urbanization Through Innovative Technologies Platform, our team successfully completed a field deployment at TU Delft's Architectural Engineering & Technology (AE&T) department within the scope of Noise-Reducing Digital Twin activities.
Dr. Sajjad Baghaee, SUIT P9 Project Leader representing JeoIT, and Emre Akkaya, Senior Visual Designer, visited TU Delft and carried out the following activities:
- Installed and configured SensorBox nodes for environmental and acoustic monitoring,
- Set up a local MQTT broker to ensure secure data transmission,
- Created a 3D digital model of the AE&T test site for integration into the project's digital twin infrastructure.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our valued collaborators at TU Delft:
- Feras Alsaggaf and Simos Maniatis for organizing the meeting and conducting the site inspection,
- Pedro Pablo de la Barra Luegmayer for his support with network configuration and testing,
- Prof. Michela Turrin for her leadership of the project at TU Delft.
This collaboration represents an important step toward creating smart, data-driven, and sustainable spaces within the SUIT initiative.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts and technical support of our colleagues at JeoIT, Koray Aksoy, Kamil Z., Mehmet Erdal Özkinacı, Abdullah Erkoç, and our General Manager, Yavuz Eren. Their contributions played a significant role in the successful completion of this field deployment.
